Bikers set to invade Hastings this May Day

Celebrating 40 years of the Locksbottom to Hastings May Day Run, Swinton Insurance has teamed up with Bike1066 to run a family friendly festival of motorcycling over the bank holiday weekend, from 5-7 May.

The Mayday Run was started in 1979 by a group of biking mates who needed a destination for the first ever May Day bank holiday – and over the last 40 years, the event has grown and grown, and now attracts up to 40,000 bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts in a single day.

This year, it’s bigger and better than ever before – with Ken Fox’s Wall of Death, an Isle of Man TT Race simulator, BIG screen BSB Racing coverage, a Street Custom Exhibition, and a 12 hour rock music marathon. Plus there will be hundreds of traders and exhibitors offering some fantastic kit at discounted prices.

Dan Agate of Swinton Bikes says; “The Mayday Run is a unique experience, it’s like this massive organic movement of thousands of people all driven by their passion for motorcycles and all heading for Hastings. Swinton are really pleased to have been invited to be a small part of such a unique biking experience.”
