The Tubby Tyre Scooter Company

Turns heads with The Tubby Tyre Scooter Company’s ELECTRIC two-wheelers

Looking for a way to whizz about at home or on holiday? Then take a look at The Tubby Tyre Scooter Company’s brilliant range of lightweight electric scooters.

Characterised by their oversized ‘Tubby’ tyres, there’s currently three different models in the line-up.  Two of the models known as the ‘Basic One’ and the ‘One Everyone Wants’ have been manufactured in accordance with the DVSA’s requirements, and are fully UK road-legal (providing you’ve passed your CBT) – but there’s also the ‘No-Road One’, which is a simpler machine intended for use on private land only and away from the road.

All scooters are powered by a 1kW rear hub motor, which allows them to accelerate quickly to a top speed of around 28mph, while the battery will last for approximately 30 miles – which is more than enough for a short daily commute, or popping down the shop. And it’ll conveniently recharge overnight using a standard UK socket. That means it’s perfect for a range of uses, including weaving through traffic in towns and cities during your daily commute.
