STYLING

To the naked eye the Harrier’s visual looks are quite pleasing, especially on the tricolour bodywork option we had on test (a single all-black colour is also available). It certainly looks the part of a sporty scooter with its’ styled LED indicators, painted alloy wheels and a cool-looking sports Chrono dash.

EQUIPMENT

This is a budget scooter, so don’t go expecting a multitude of bells and whistles. You get the basic functional stuff and not a lot else. Display information is limited to speed, distance and fuel readings. The space under the seat is big enough to accommodate a full face helmet, so that’s a bonus.

ENGINE/PERFORMANCE

The engine is your bog standard four-stroke with a mid-range output of 5.5kw (which translates to around 7.3bhp). Out on the open road, this means it’s good for around 55-60mph on the flat; about average for what you should expect from a scooter like this.

ON THE ROAD

Because the Harrier effectively has a stub front end and no protective screen, it does leave you feeling a little exposed out on the road, but it handles well and has a good riding position for someone who doesn’t have long legs; the sloping design of the seat does tend to push you forward a little, especially when braking. That aside the scoot is light and nimble with a good turning circle, which makes it ideal for urban use.
